Jenny Craig Gets To the Heart of the Matter

How many of you are struggling with baby weight? It seems like the more children that you have, the harder it is to lose the weight gained during pregnancy. Unfortunately, we, moms, don't take care of our bodies as well as we did during pregnancy, as there is increase amount of health risks associated with weight-related diseases, including heart disease and stroke. This year, Jenny Craig has partnered with the American Heart Association (AHA) in its My Heart. My Life. healthy living initiative. Jenny Craig is committed to helping combat the obesity epidemic and heart disease – the leading cause of death for women in the United States.

In fact, Jenny Craig is working with the AHA to reduce Americans’ risk for cardiovascular disease by 20% by 2020.  Studies show that losing 5-10% of your body weight (if deemed overweight) can reduce your risk for heart disease by as much as 58%.  As part of their support, Jenny Craig will lead the charge by supporting nearly 350 AHA Heart Walks throughout the year with proceeds from these event and your participation benefitting the American Heart Association, an organization dedicated to building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
