How I See Mommy...Happy Mother's Day!

I stumbled upon this passage on the stages of motherhood in the eyes of our kids. So far, it is true for me.

4 years old - My mommy knows everything.
8 years old - My mom knows a lot.
12 years old - My mom knows some things, but not quite everything.
14 years old - My mom doesn't know much.
16 years old - My mom doesn't know anything.
23 years old - Well, she might know a thing or two.
30 years old - Before we decide, let's ask mom.  She'll know for sure.
55 years old - I wonder what mom would have thought about that.
70 years old - I wish I could talk it over with mom.

Being a mom is the tough job that I have accepted, but the payoffs are priceless. I leave you with Proctor & Gamble's latest ad campaign for the upcoming 2012 Summer Olympics:

Happy Mother's Day!
