Firehouse Subs Heats Up the Sandwich Market

Have you ever walked into an establishment, and you know that there is something unique and special about it? This happened to me when I walked in Firehouse Subs.

I greeted with a friendly "Welcome to Firehouse Subs!" That's only beginning...Founded in Jacksonville, Florida by former firefighting brothers Chris and Robin Sorensen, Firehouse Subs is a over 500-unit fast-casual restaurant. Restaurants reflect an authentic firefighter heritage, as well as the founding family’s 200 years of collective firefighting service. I had the honor to meet Robin in person, and his mission for Firehouse Subs stands apart like other restaurants such as Chick-fil-A with a altruistic business model. For example, purchase an empty five-gallon pickle bucket for $2, and you’re donating to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. Use the pickle buckets for painting, gardening, washing the car, building sand castles, anything you can think of...we use it for toy storage. :)

Firehouse Subs offers oversized portions of premium hand sliced meats and cheeses, steamed to make the flavors burst, then piled high atop a toasted sub roll and served “FULLY INVOLVED,” with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion and a dill spear on the side. All large specialty subs feature a half pound of meat - sandwich fit for a firefighter! I can't say that I have ever eaten the large sub as I can barely finish a regular sub. I am not alone on my LOVE for this place. Firehouse Subs has received over 30 awards and acknowledgments over the past few years. BTW don't stop at the subs, grab a Lemon Cooler cookie and choice from their amazing Coca-Cola Freestyle soda dispenser. You're whole family will LOVE this place.
